Hi Guys,

As the title states i copped an EPA letter in the mail for my Vp 5.0L. Its currently got a genie cat back exhaust unsure of size but it will definately fail the EPA test.

Does anyone know if the V6 and V8 stock exhaust systems are the same so i can just replace it with a stock V6 exhaust because they're much easier to find??

Any helps appreciated. Cheers

That's pretty full on, Who did you piss off ?

But for your question sure just chuck anything on for the inspection then rip it off again. A set of V6 pipes from the cat back MAY fit with a bit of fiddling.

Some of my workmates used to wrap up fibreglass matt in chicken wire and stuff it right up their exhaust and fish it out with some wire after the test. Apparently it baffles the sound really good. They might have wised up to that by now though.
