2008 Omega ute
Hello, I have had an alarming issue develop with my 2008 V6 Omega ute over recent days where either the ESP or ABS suddenly activates for several seconds while driving under normal conditions. This results in a loud and harsh pulsation. This has been occuring more frequently over the past few days. The ESP light on the dash illuminates when this happens.About a week ago we had to replace the centre console window switch which meant disconnecting the ESP in order to remove the plastic trim and I'am wondering if that sensor is now faulty.I'd like to know if anyone else has had this issue and what it might be.
Any feedback much appreciated.

That doesn't sound right at all.

I know that there are cars out there that have rather sensitive ESP & ABS (MY05 Mazda SP23 & BA MK2 Falcon XR6 were a great ones for it) but can't say I've experienced anything like that in the VE series.

Hope you can get to the bottom of it soon as those systems malfunctioning car spell drama on the road.

VE Omega
I've just had the same issue over the weekend in my VE.

I was driving down my street on saturday and the ESP kicked in (cruising @ 50kph on a straight road). When I got into my driveway the car was idling rough as guts and the ESP light was still going on the dash. I turned the car off then started her back up with no dramas.

I'm going to do some investigating on the interweb and see if I can find any solutions or reasons why.

I,ve been there. Check to see if your cruise will set when this happens. Your brake switch needs adjusting. It's easy too.

Hey guys any update on a solution to this? Mine has the same fault always when I drive the same corner... I get an ESP off and the front end sounds like its shuddering or the drive belt is going nuts. Exit the corner (no not speeding or anything) and esp disappears and everything returns to normal. Looked at everything and cannot work out what it is. Almost sounds like my wheel is rubbing and that disables the ESP but it cant be that... standard SV6 rims.... any help please!!
