Hi everyone,
I've gotten the radio from my mum's commodore because it cracked the shits, and the commodore I've just bought didn't come
with a radio, and I was thinking of swapping it in. Problem is the car (my mum's) didn't come with the radio code when she bought it years back.
I Don't want to bother going to holdens and paying $30 for a stupid code, so I was thinking of taking the chip that has the code on it and replacing it with one that doesn't. Has anyone done it before? Cheers

That's strange that Holden is charging for the code. I went to Holden a couple of years ago and got the code for free.

Yeah I got a code for one of mine for free from Holden too. PM me if you want me to put you in touch with the person I spoke to.

I wouldn't offer the service free to a non-customer for a one-off walk in either.
