I have a vk with a brock Manuel gear box and I also have a vc 1981 sl wagon that's auto, can I do a conversion using the vk gear box in to the vc wagon?

6 or V8? If 6, it will bolt straight up, make sure you use spigot bearing. The floor pan and crossmember are the same VC & VK. Pedal bolt also bolts straight up. Wiring will need a small change. If V8, it will bolt up if a Brock box, M21 or T5G, and the VC has a trimatic.

Sorry mate, they're different. Vb-Vs sedan are all same shape but with return line for efi models, and same for ute/wagon tanks for vb-vs.

Ah ok cheers. So if I was to use a newer tank from a VS sedan it would fit into the VK sedan?

They fit but make sure you get the straps with the newer tank. Also, I think the filler necks are slightly different, I think the earlier tanks have the neck as part of the tank and later models they’re separate

Tank straps ends are slightly different from irs cars although really only matters if using bigger 80l off calais/ss etc not the small tanks

Overflow hose is much bigger so may have to tap bootfloor up a bit get hose through chassis rail gap or crush hose.

Other than that get later model plug off donor car for fuel tank sender & pump

Yeh just whats on the market now. I went to a couple of parts stores and got a couple different opinions on what i should use.
