just finished adding drls to an evoke and thought a share of info might help someone else out.

if you want to add drls to your evoke with a factory look then you want to source parts from a vf international as the front of the international is the same as the evoke.
your evoke has the mounting points for the drls.

these are the parts I used, if you can get the wiring loom as it makes it easy to connect everything.

top one is from the international and the bottom one is the evoke

the drl is mounted in the evoke using the factory mounting points.

I used a drl controller that allows the drls to be on and dimmed while the headlights are on so I depinned the the drl wires from the plug and connected the drl controller.
one thing I did notice in the fuse box is the relay and fuse spots for the drls had all of the connections in them so you might be able to just plug in the loom from the international and put a fuse and relay in then have the drls enabled by holden, something you could check with holden I guess.

Hi Stooge, did you have to jack your car up or anything mate to do this? I've believe I have all the parts necessary to complete this and want to do it this weekend.

you could probably do it on jack stands but a hoist is the way to go.

there is a plastic panel under the front bumper you need to remove to get access to run the loom

I didn’t end up needing any jack stands etc. Didn’t even move the car. Took the bar off, removed the old inserts, put in the international inserts & DRLs, took out old wiring loom & replaced with factory international loom before putting bar back on. I bought a DRL controller & a 4 Pin relay. I want my DRLs like factory in that they are on when headlights off & off when headlights on. Do I just put in the fuse & relay with no need for the controller?

you can put the fuse and relay in but it wont work as the bcm wont put power to the drl circuit because its disabled on the evoke.

you pretty much have to build the drl circuit yourself using the drl controller or you could get a spdt relay and set it up so when the headlights come on it disconnects the power to the drls which would mimic the factory operation.

spdt relay:

Hey mate I’ve been looking everywhere for the international drl inserts but can’t find them anywhere. Could you point me in the right direction? Cheers

I got mine from a wrecker through ebay.
You could try holden parts.

The actual drl unit/light is the same on all the models it is just the plastic trim that is unique to the evoke/international
