dude check the vin number first -- it should have 6h..... - BT1 if it doesnt than its not an ex chaser ---- but i dont think the chips are any different from the standard v8 chips as i have an ex chaser myself

police ex chasers didnt get any sort of fancy memcal(chip) put into them unless by chance certain police members went and had their cars tuned professionally, which i dont know if any did.

might make some difference on the sixes - as they had a bigger cam put in i think so would have to have been tuned different from the normal executive maybe to the s model - again this wont work in your car unless its got the same cam and everything in it

It will have a stock chip but go THE SOUTH OZ VN CEPTORS:p

When is someone finding me a V8 one:p

One thing it will have is V8/FE2 brakes and the full fe2 suspension kit. But i wouldn't like to see such a beast wrecked.
I rather you use your car for spares to fix the blue ceptor :)

the v6's didnt have a bigger cam in them, they were a stock motor with maybe a higher current alternator to handle the car sitting idle for longer periods.

Nope alternator was the exact same too. Different alternator wasn't introduced til the VS.

Stock engine, stock chip, stock alternator :)

hey there burnout_bro. i have heard around the traps that you dont get the best effect of chipping a car unless you have extractors...dont know how true. i guess dropping a chip in wont hurt either way - esp if the price is right... hehehe

btw, if he has a tacho cluster in the car that he wants to ditch let me know.... i am looking for one for my vp v6.... cheers and thanks... pete
