Ive got and Ex police VR thats made into an "SS' and looks great but one thing gets me is the Ex police pursuit cars 185kw or 165kw cause I want to know after I put extractors on it if I am actully making 203kw now not just 181.5kw is there anyway to tell just by looking at it.

The ex police cars are 165kw mate. Some QLD highway patrol cars were REAL HSV enhanced SS patrol cars with the HSV 185i package they were quite rare.

Also, extractors will never give you that much extra power, maybe 5kw. Dont believe everything you read on ebay or their website.

To get the extra 20kw, the 185kw models had a larger air intake. High flow air cleaner. Extractors and a low restriction dual exhaust. Recalibrated engine management/tune. Knock sensor.

So if your car was a 185i then it would have the dual exhaust, larger air intake, extractors, knock sensor and tune and it would be a real SS and HSV enhanced so check the compliance plate.

Extractors only will not give you 10% more power. If you got a full Di Fillippo system with extractors, hi flow cats, dual exhaust then yes you might get those gains. But on a stock engine with just some extractors you won't achieve gains that large.

The LB9 is the V8 engine code. Need your VIN number to check which V8.

It is special. How many other persons cars have been thrashed for the first 6 months of their life by people who have no cares about how they drive said car.

Hey!! I have a BT1 too, lol don't make fun of them!! Mine inexplicably made 202rwhp with just intake and exhaust mods at the SC dyno day last year, through an auto. I don't understand how, it just happened. I don't think I have the 185i although the car is from north Queensland where it was an unmarked pursuit.
