Hi people I got I vy v6 randomly The check engine light is coming on sometimes after 5 minutes driving sometimes not at all,,, also as I don't drive it much (wife's car) but fuel consumption is high,,would I be right in looking at oxygen sensers,,I just changed oil recently with recommend oil
Would it be advised to get scanned first,,what other things can cause this,, car only done 150k and seems to have been looked after well before I bought it
Cheers

If you know someone who can check it for fault codes it would easier than wasting money on a part which might not be broken. Genuine o2 sensors aren't cheap and due to reliability, always use genuine sensors when possible.

Ur probably right about the o2 sensors due for replacement but you really need to get the codes scanned to see what the issue is 1st
