I had a oil change done 4000km gal and now I’m down to a 1/4 of oil left in the engine.

No visible leaks from top area and no leaks on the drive way.

No smoke coming from the exhaust.

On hard acceleration sometimes u can smell sometime burning but not often.

How would you know you have 1.6 litres of oil left in that engine sump?

I think he means it's down to 1/4 on the dipstick.
What oil are you using?

I use 5w-40 in Sydney so I'd think you could go a bit thicker if you wanted to. 10-40 at least but that doesn't answer the question if where all your oil is going.
Do you push it really hard? ThAt can cause fresh oil up into the air intake pipe which can then dribble into the throttle body and cause smoke like you have seen. It might be worth looking inside your air intake pipe on the front of the engine just to see if it has oil in it.
Which 5-40 are you using?

Did you check the engine oil level after you got the car back from the mechanic?
For now I would fill it back up to the full mark and check it weekly and see how many K's you do before it drops back down to approx 1/4 on the dipstick.
If it's not leaking it must be burning it. I remember reading the VE Alloytecs were notorious for consuming oil.
Don't know if GMH fixed this issue or just kept denying there was a problem?

I think Holden issued a software change around the time of the late VE Alloytec, specifically the SIDI engines from memory. You could ring Holden with your VIN number and check but the first thing to do is what Dave said and top it up. The mechanic might not have filled it properly at service time.

Or the old "we changed the oil" but they didn't.

I remember reading the VE Alloytecs were notorious for consuming oil.

Where did they OP say Alloytec or even V6? His profile would indicate L98.

Having said that, I've owned 2 Alloytecs over the years and neither of them used a drop of oil.
