just curious can you put a cluster from a berlina into an executive if you can is there anything you have to do in order to get the digital readouts to work?

    Level 3 Clusters into Executive

Yes you can do it. I have recently done so.

However, it is not a straight swap.

You will need a cluster, the trip computer buttons and a wiring patch harness. The latter can be made by modifying a Berlina/Calais/Statesman wiring loom. This patch harness will need to be spliced into the main wiring loom behind the dash.

There are a number of threads around, if you do a search. If you strike trouble, PM me and I will pass some links.

Tricks for new players include the fact that VN/VP clusters look the same as VR/VS ones, but are wired differently. Stick a VP cluster in a VS and you will see smoke. The wiring can be modified to avoid this proble, but you would need to have your wits about you. The installation of the patch harness for a VR/VS cluster into a VR/VS is relatively straight forward.

Typically, you can do this modification for $200 to $300 if you do it yourself, or around $400 to $500 if you use an auto electrician.

    Good luck.
