Exepmtion for P plate Restrictions - Maloooooooo

Hi Guys,

So i currently have a 2003 V6 Ute I have someone willing to buy it and so i went car searching...

After spending a few days at holden i have fallen inlove with the Maloo and they have a showroom car for a really good deal.
I can even extend the warranty to 6 years full servicing, apart from new tyres.

Only drama is i am stuck on my P plates for another 3 months.
I am going to see Holden again today to put a deposit on the car.

I have spoken to the RTA and they have given me a exepmtion form. I do use this car mainly for work but work won't buy cars because of issues in the past
Any one have any suggestions on what i could tell them?
It is just a really difficult spot...

Anyone else with helpful information.
The car is a showroom car and dead stock = cheap... Might not be there in 3 months.
I got the price down considerably.

Thats what i am thinking tbh... But just concerned of the temptation... Also i need a car for work. Gah!!

If you have the money for a maloo, just sell your current car and buy a $1000 or less pos that runs, to get you to work etc and the maloo on top.
Just wait 3 months, time will fly. My cousin purchased a vz ss and sat on it for a year till he got his blacks.

You can't get an exemption, you know that, therefore you either buy this car and it sits waiting for 3 months or you buy another car.

Drive it and get caught and you will waiting more than 3 months to drive anything.

Just keep it in the garage for 3 months , ether get lifts to work or by a shitty excel or something for the 3 months to get around in

I hope you're not paying for the extended warranty. Usually they're not worth a fart when you need to claim. Plus most of them expect you to pay jacked up dealer servicing prices to keep the warranty.

My friend got an extended 3 year warranty on a car she bought, which according to Holden, covers nothing.

I thought you could drive a v6 on P's.
Or did I read wrong? (v8?)
