Hi. I had a VE sedan that I put a sports tailpipe on but the reverb through the car was horrible. I now have a wagon and want to put sports tail pipes on it. Just wondering if the reverb would be the same or should I spend the extra and use J pipes?

A V6 sedan with no rear muffler will sound like a loud wet fart.

A V6 wagon with no rear muffler will sound like a loud wet through a microphone and an amplifier.

i have j pipes on both my V8's and I rate them. They weren't expensive either i'd give them a go. But temper your expectations mate, the V6 is not a great sounding engine.

Oh and "sports tailpipe" describes exactly nothing. What system did you have installed with what parts and sizes.

Straight through 2 1/2" with a 3" chrome tip from Rapid exhaust it replaces the rear muffler. Think I'll go with the J pipes. Sounds ok and gets rid of the pissy little standard tailpipes.
