VE Wagon
Hi Folks.
A few times, seems more so under acceleration up hills or under load,I get a bad exhaust smell in my ve wagon. Checked the rear seals on the back rear hatch....all seems fine.
Any clues please ?
Cheers.

Check your manifold bolts and exhaust bolts,
Also the Bonnet Seal when the Air Vents is located,
As the smell maybe coming up through the engine bay straight into the HVAC system.

Also check that there isnt any missing floor pan bungs missing.

If it's a V6, check your breather hose which is on the right side of the engine and connects to the air intake after air flow meter. Not sure if the v8's have this hose too..I would assume so.

If this hose is loose or split, it will give off exhaust fumes

Thanks for that, will check those areas.Seems more common when windows are open, but it's a very intermittent thing.
