So when I got rear ended late last year they had to replace the mid section and rear cans on my ve series 1 ss ute as they got bent to buggery, they told me from the insurance company since the exhaust came out the rear outlets for them in the bumper they wouldn't do anything more but they sit so offset from the middle like they did before I got hit , the right one sits high and to the inside and the left one sits lower and to the outside. So my question is does anyone have any pics of the exhaust hanger brackets on their series 1 ute, I believe two of mine are bent. I will upload pics tonight as I'm at work on my mobile at the moment.

Any half decent Exhaust Specialist should be able to resolve any problems for you in a flash. Good luck.

The rubber on the car is fairly solid and mounted in a solid bracket. For the exhaust to sit crooked, either the brackets on the actual muffler are bent or it's an issue with the rear of the car.

It was perfect before I got hit :( the beaver panel is new, the spare tyre was mashed Into the sub frame frame and the beaver panel to that, I had to use a crow bar to get the spare tyre back to where it sat.... I'll post a pic tonight but it the hanger that has them before they split to the sides the passenger side is a good 2 inches further back than the drivers side

so they've done a dodgy repair then, take it to an exhaust shop who can cut and weld as required to straighten it and change insurance company clearly.

It's an aftermarket system that has been fitted?

The passenger side sits further out of the bumper than the drivers side? Actually, this is quite common on the utes for some reason. I have had some sit perfectly and some sit further out on the passenger side, it's worse when it gets hot.

she hit me that hard the exhaust was pushed back under the bumper itself :(

I don't think that bracket/hanger is meant to be like that at all, hence the questions

Is that the same exhaust as before? It looks bent the way it is sitting on the hanger, you can clearly see where it used to sit by the shiny bit.
