Above is to scale with bolt alignment. So it is possible if you cut the flange...:(
It occurred to me while fiddling around with this, where on the vehicle would you put a device to collect 75% of all the heat generated by combustion energy? Possibly the worst place for a shitty device, replace with proper unit for $500 and bolt on HSV headers. Tune in-tact, oil cooling works better than stock.

With all this bullshitting around may as well leave the exhaust stock! Some are saying aftemarket headers and cats sound **** on a stock cat back, drone with full systems ( I had a full difillipo system and it always vibrated through the car) lose the crackle and pop, all the things I dont want!
True, header design is actually about performance, essentially catback is about sound...

That's a lot to cut off. Could you cut, rotate left say 30° and re weld?

oh man serious. Cant fit my HSV headers to my Motorsport? Will the cats and centre exhaust still bolt up to the Holden Headers if you cant fit the HSV headers cos of the oil cool

That's a lot to cut off. Could you cut, rotate left say 30° and re weld?
Smart thinking, cut pre-flange, slip on joiner extension. Weld seal top, band clamp to cat pipe. Sort of excellent opportunity to replace that section with stainless mandrel and HFCs, which flange immediately after...

Cut off problem header flange and the top flange of this, weld join, voila.
That’s to use HSV headers and retain HX.
BUT
If you don’t already have HSVs I suggest using the PH5387 long tube tri-ys which do clear and perform much better through the rev range. Easy peasy.

What is the operating temp for your oil and how much does the temp increase when the engine is under load?

I guess we'd also need to know what the temps are for the LS3's without the cooler to be able to compare the difference.

Ok where does one get nice cats like the one pictured above? Some muffler places in Syd want a fortune to make them up and want your car as well,I would just like to buy over the counter take home and fit to my HSVs.

I've tried to get Manta to make a bolt on HSV cat but they say there's not enough of a market for them to warrant jigging them up.
