Exhaust Prices?

Hey there, Im looking at getting a new exhaust for my car. Ive read the post on exhausts (recent) and there a few things I would like to ask. Since my car is supercharged I understand I can get a 3" cat-back system? Just a question what would be better a 2.5" or a 3" and what are the price differences. Does it have to be professional installed or can I install it and save money. One more thing where would be the best place to get it done?
