    hey guys
Whenever i use my 3 2 1 gears on my auto transmission in my vx my i can start to smell my exhaust and its a strong smell, is this something i should be worried about should i stop using those gears?
    Cheers Jonesy

lol its a auto so why change gears. ive never got why auto drivers do that, unless towing.
Try drving around with it in drive for a few days and see if the smell is still there. that way you can say it is from changing the gears.

are you down gearing to slow down, or changing up gears as you speed up?

when you burn your clutch pack out or destroy your torque converter, do a conversion to a 5 or 6 speed manual and get happy. As for your exhaust smell, have a look at the seal under the console or the boot/rear door seals. Autos are not designed for slowing down, that's why most cars these days have really good brakes
