Exhaust To Loud???

would a 2.5" twin exhaust on a super6 VT be too loud for legal standards in VIC if i took the rear res off and just put a straight out pipe in instead??

did it jsut to my na 3.8..
got headers and a 2.5 the whole wat thru with twin cats one middle sporst (dunno wat type) and jsut got the raer resi taken off and its too loud but havent benn pulled over yet but kept the muffler for when i do :yeah:
