FYI
for every litre of fuel burned, a litre of water is produced by combustion & winds up coming out your exhaust

Thats why it is a bad practice to start your engine from cold, run it for a minute or two, then turn it off without letting the whole caboodle get to operating temp. That moisture sits in the exhaust and around the rings and elsewhere, mixing with the burned combustion deposits to form a corrosive solution that will rot out the exhaust sysyem, particularly on vehicles that don't have a stainless exhaust, and finds its way into the oil, contaminating that.
That moisture is more prevalent in winter when the air is very humid.

That is the reason that km don't really affect oil change intervals, it's the amount of cold starts that deteriorate the oil more than distance travelled. I do mine 3 times a year, May , August and November regardless of kms. During the colder months, every 3 months, then when it warms up, a 6 month gap.
