few ppl have told me i can join the trail pipe n muffler by sliding them in with hi temp sillcone to hold it tighter im woundering what u guys think about tht and wat shud i do about tht lil 7mm hole can i get repair kit or am i gonna have to get it welded
That orange high-temp silicone stuff is damn strong. Most of my flanges use that stuff instead of gaskets - many a trip to near 5000rpm has still not seen them fail Just pack craploads of it in. You're probably also well off getting an exhaust clamp and using that - they're cheap.
AND what shud i do about this lil hole im shud i get get them old bits were its been welded grided off then get it filled buy welder or just fill with sillcone n i dunno something tht will fix it quick n were i shud go to get it done pic shud be below of hole
Just take it into an exhaust shop and they will weld the hole and fix it, if the rust isnt to bad might have to get it replaced. but for the other bit where it slides in high temp sealent will do the job fine, it has also stopped my extractor leak
cheers how much u rekon it wld cost to fix tht hole n its barly rusted at all just look it in photo cos its bright only payed 90 bucks for hole thing so was bargen has nice crome tip so its good
Yeah well if you take it into the place not on the car, shouldnt be over 10-15bucks cause its stuff all work its a 2min job, then fit it yourself use high temp sealant on that join and where it bolts up to the cat. should be good.
Pacemakers, 2.5mandrel bent exhaust from ebay (new) $160 fitted the extractors myself and exhaust, extractors where $150. sounds good with a manual makes a differents. good luck with your exhaust.
