Hi guys Just wondering if any of you have experience with external bonnet locks? When I bought my senator it came with one, kinda looks like a club lock, runs under the dash on the drivers side just to the right of the accelerator pedal..anyway the bloke I bought it off said it didn't work & it never came with a key. The other half jumped in the car and hit his knee on it the other day and the lock pushed in and now we can't open the bonnet! He's pulled the lock off and tried to open it with a screw driver but were not getting anywhere she's clamped shut and I can't afford to take it to a mechanic just yet after just buying another car & moving house this weekend. If anyone knows how to disable this thing any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers Krissy
I think it will be a locksmith job. They should be able to cut a new key for it, but you will need proof of ownership papers I'd guess, as all the ones I've seen use a Bilock key, which are a security key, and cannot be duplicated without permission.
