    Hello,

I own a 1993 VP Calais, I have a set of hurricane extractors lying around, and I'm looking to buy a set of King Springs.

I've been told they're easy to install myself, can anyone point me in the direction of some guides on how to do so?

    All help is appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Chris

you need a set of basic tools & spring compressors, your looking at about 115 a pair of king lowered springs and about 340 in shock absorbers all round.

If you want a guide i think i have one written up in the 'howto' section.

Hmm, I didn't know spring compressors were needed, would it be cheaper to just pay for the labour to have them installed?

you can do the rears yourself no trouble but for the fronts you will need to remove the entire strut assembly, compress the springs & remove the strut top.

If you want a set (front & rear) king springs pm me as ive got a couple of spare sets.

labour will be 200-250 to install the fronts, then your up for a wheel alignment. the spring compressors are 30-40 bucks.... the choice is yours, its not to difficult but go with a pro if you dont feel confident.

I was thinking about buying a set (4), and just putting the rears on, then if I wanted to in the future put the fronts on.

What type of springs are they? Low, super low or ultra low? What condition are they in?
