Extractors without tune?

Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been asked before, I have purchased extractors, cats and extension harnesses.
What I want to know is when the car throws a fault code, does it go into limp mode? Or can it still be safely driven?
Just trying to weigh up fitting them or waiting till I can afford a tune.

The car will throw a code, but it will still be fine to drive until you get a tune.

I ran mine for over a year without getting a tune.
It threw a code after 3 weeks of driving and I just went back to where I had the exhaust fitted and they cleared it for me.
Without a tune it will be fine, you just won't get the full benefits of the exhaust.

i had mine fitted for well over a month before i got a tune and i didnt get any codes at all.
