    Hey guys,
Gonna be putting in my splits today.... woofer is no problem, but i want to mount the tweeters where the factory ones are, its a vs clubsport by the way.
So like at the back of the dash there is the little grilles there.... How do you take that plate off?? I havnt seen any screw holes or anything, im not really keen on just yanking it out cause i dont want to brake it.
But even if i got that out, how would i feed the wire through the bottom to get to the speaker???

Cheers for any help, or any other good mounting suggestions are welcomed too.
    Geoff.

If you want to get good imaging you will have to aim them, as they are quite directional. In my VR we set them up on the plastic blanking plates on the doors, on the opposing side of the mirror.
Can't say I have heard of a) there being tweeters in a VR/VS and b) anyone putting something there.

Hahahaha, yeah i knew they were there..... just looks like a pain to get to etc....
Ive ran my 4 guage and remote wire and stipped all remanents of the existing stereo out now.... just gotta run the 3 lots of RCA's and thats all the wiring done, but because im now running the power cable down the passenger side i was gonna run the rca's on the drivers side..... but there no where near enough room under the kick panel thing, so ive taken out all seats and console and stuff.. gonna feed them through under the carpet.
Might go down later and buy a cap and the subs if i feel the need to :p

OK, up to putting in my tweeters now..... so
    1) There is 100% tweeters already in there (nasty paper stock ones)
    2) I got the side plate off that was easy, so wiring to them is easy but now
    3) The problem is the top plate to actually get the speaker out and the new one in......

Does that long plate just clip off, or is there screws somewere????
I can manage to pry it open a little bit but not enough for me to get the speaker out....
    Any help is MUCH appreciated!!!

Look from outside of the car down at the plate....you should see some screws - just unscrew those and it should come out then (well that's how mine comes off:thumbsup:)

I did actually do that. Couldnt see any... but it was pretty glary, ill have another look now.
    Cheers man.
If that doesnt work, ill just wire them up and just sit them on top of that grille there, it wont look too bad.

All good guys, ive now finished for the day im absolutly wrecked...
Tried and tried but couldnt get that panel off, so i just fed the wires through and mounted the tweeter on top of the little grilles there, doesnt look tooooo bad.
But i got heaps of work done today so im happy, all wires are run and all speakers are in, tomoz i just gotta buy a new capacitor and my subs, and mount it all and obviously wire it to the amps.....
    Hope it goes good!
