Fair bit of play in tailgate when tonneau cover is off 2011 ute

Hey Is there anyway to tighten up the tailgate on the utes or are they all a bit loose without the cover on. This is my first commodore so just wondering. Cheers

That will work for a while, but the latches will move inwards again from vibration. Some heavy foam down each side will stop rattles, but inconvenient to replace each time you drop the tailgate, (my solution, and also keeps dust out).
An appropriate sized rubber bump stop glued in the gap between the tailgate and body ?
