    Hi Guys,

Noticed today coming home from work that my 1 & 2 fan speeds no longer work even with aircon on only 3 & 4 are still working and I assume it's a same issue like the older Holdens and a simple fix of replacing a relay of some type inside the car or in the engine bay somewhere if that's I'm right but I'm sure you are going to fully correct me on this.

Fan speed resistor assy easy fix. Pop bonnet, Remove wipers arms, remove plastic cowling at bottom of windscreen, be careful not to break it. In the middle, under the cowling is a box with 2 screws i think, undo, there is the fan speed resistor assy, remove another 2 screws i think, then unplug and replace. Easy.

Mine was only working on 3 & Hi speeds too, so i dropped into a car wreckers on Friday and told them i wanted a fan resister for 1996 Commodore, they guy must have taken near on a half an hour to get it out of the smashed car and charged me $25.
So yesterday i decided to put it in, i took the old one out and realized that he given me the wrong one :bang: ,so i was really pissed as i live in the bush, 35 klm away from this wrecking yard but i had told him the exact description no climate control etc, anyway i had a look at my one and seen it was only a thing wire broken like a stuffed light globe so i pulled it apart and replaced the broken wire, put a little bit of liquid nails on the joins, now all speeds work fine.
I got no idea if my repair is going to last, but i will go back to them and still get the proper part just in case.
