CEL just came on, car decided it wouldnt change gear(manually would) - assuming "limp home mode" enabled. CEL goes off changes fine. Seems to only come one when the car warms up........not my car so I dont know at what temperature
So got code 16, incosistant voltage to temp sensor. So I`ll check for a constant supply for 5v and condition of wiring.
Is this the sensor near the goose neck?

Is there anything else I could be checking for while I`m at it?

Code 16 - Coolant temperature Sensor voltage unstable
so could be loose terminals at the temp sensor? or loose terminals at ecu? or dead sensor? or broken wire from sensor to ecu?(last one unlikely)
