Hi all,
Have some queries about how the fault codes are stored and logged.
I brought a vs V6 ute that was difficult too start , spluttered with low idle and stalled, idle ramping up and down. Once warm is fine. Ran fault check and all clear.
But today when I moved the car the check engine light was flashing while it was spluttering, never did before at anytime that I've noticed. When I brought the car the battery had been disconnected for over a week, and it hasn't had a battery in it while I've been working on it as I only have one battery between 2 cars
Do the fault codes clear themselves once the battery has been off for a certain time ? I left the battery connected this time after seeing the engine flash light hoping it has something to show later when I run a fault check again.
