I've been informed that FE2 for a VS has been discontinued by Holden so you can't buy them brand new. I think VT onwards are still available as surplus stock but the rear VT IRS springs are different to the VS. Don't know about the front. Your only option is to try wreckers or ebay for 2nd hand or if you want brand new you'll need to buy aftermarket equivalent like King Spring lows or Lovells.

You can get a full set of king springs lowered IRS brand new on ebay for $250. Would there be more point in buying Kings? What are you hoping to achieve?

As far as i know FE2, (Which is what comes standard in my commie) is the same as the standard commie susp. (Known as FE1) but 1inch lower ... the compression rates are the same and all... maybe a LITTLE bit stiffer??

and be careful putting lower springs into a car without checking if the shock absorbers are compatable... i.e. too short of a spring and the shockies wont hold them in when jacked up.

and youre going to need a camber kit if its IRS... full camber kits (installed) are around $300-350

i think he meant what would i acheive as opposed to getting kings. i realise fe2 are stiffer than stock, which is why i want them, i just dont want it to feel like kings. already got fe2 shocks and a 4 point camber kit

FE2 is better then stock but idealy go super lows, Repco and places like that sell springs, normally lovells or kings would be the only VS IRS springs you will be able to get. Get short struts/Shocks and get a camber kit in the rear.

I run Supers in the front of mine and FE2 in the back (I have a big stereo in the boot heance i can't go lower) and the ride height is where you would want it on a VS

Fronts are all the same.I got FE2 for my VR ute off ebay front and rear cost me around 150 for shocks and found set of pedders HD springs for $50.The difernce in shocks and springs from the early to later models is the rear hight.I think the rears are higher on the earlyer models or the other way around. But the fronts are all the same up to Vz Brakes and all wil just bolt up.
