feel your pain man, especially in the first instance you mentioned...but humans being humans just have to slow down and have a peek...nothing to do with being safe and cautious at all...who the hell walks around next to a freeway!! just plain stupid.

and for my own satisfaction, if i have to go into the left lane to pass someone i make sure i cut back in as close as i possibly can while first giving a flash and a good ol toot toot :p usually get the hint and move over for the next person behind them.

my absolute biggest gripe though is people who merge onto freeways/highways...anywhere really and they do it at a bloody snails pace...

I may be one of those people this saturday. Until I get my car back from the mechanic I've been borrowing another car, a 1983 ford meteor. 1.5L 4cyl, carbies... automatic >.<

Usually I take the motorway for 5 minutes on the way home from work, as is I've been driving the long way around to avoid trying to merge onto it.

But this saturday the drags are on... And it's the only car I will have available to me, so I guess I'll just have to do it once :p

I totally agree with what you said, just because they are out of direct traffic flow dosen't mean that its safe for ppl to travel at 100km/h when people are loading a car on a truck, they need to secure it down so its good that people slowed down.

Do you have the same opinion if the crash is on the OPPOSITE side of the concrete barrier?

God dam, you guys are not alone and neither am I by the looks of it. I live in Maitland right on the New England Highway. Now if anyone knows what that is like, its the link from, the central coast, to newcastle, to Singleton etc etc etc. There is always Trucks traveling along it, esp in the 60k zone which gets very annoying. What i cannot stand is L Plates traveling 40ks in a 60zone up a hill. Why are they so afraid of doing the speed limit. I really hope the new laws come in where all Plates are doing 110. It is a safety issue believe it or not.

Good to see others feel the same way. Would just like to add that i am sick of people doing 40,50,60 even 70 through the burnley and domain tunnels. I can forgive the trucks that have to go up hill, but i mean when the road is open in front of them (cars) and they do half the speed... :bang:
