Some of you might remember me from this thread: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/showthread.php?t=24261 with my body conversion to a Pontiac GTO.
Thanks to the guys at Power Torque Engines for the rebuild and install...here's the ride to date:
Engine:
Rebuilt LS1 5.7L V8 with the following:
Crower Conrod Set
Ross Forged Racing Pistons and Rings
Clevite Main and Big End Bearings
Power Torque Ported and Polished Heads
Stainless Steel Valves
Titanium Retainers
PSI Valve Springs
ARP Head Bolts
Copper Head Gaskets
Comp Cams Roller Lifters
60lb Injectors
Comp Cams 224/230 Cam
Hi Volume Oil Pump
Rollmaster Double Row Timing Chain
New O2 Sensors
New Air Temp Sensors
2 Bar MAP Sensor
New Water Pump
LS1 Edit - Custom 2 Bar Mafless Tune (95ron fuel only)
Exhaust: Twin 2 2/1 inch system
Suspension: Pedders Low setup all round with PolyAir airbag assist in the rear
Wheels: GTO 18" x 8
Modifications:
As above engine rebuild with blueprinting
GenT Turbo kit
700hp Exceedy Heavy Duty Clutch
Harrop Diff Cover
3.9 Diff Gears
B&M Mega shifter
American GTO Bodykit
Stereo Audio / Visual: Pioneer CD/Mp3 player, Pionner 4x60W amp, Fusion 2x150W amp, set 6inch Rockford twin splits, 2 x 12" Crossfire Subs
Power: 312rwkw 834FtLb torque via dyno under safe "run in" tune only 7psi
Only got a video so far of car starting. More tomorrow: Car starting n stuff
After a couple of months running this in and getting any problems ironed out, it'll be back to the engine builder and on the dyno for a tune up to 15psi. Estimated power output is around 450rwkw...that's some cheddar!
