cmon guys does any 1 know, do many people have 20"s on here, im goin 2mw to get them n i wud like to know if i will hav probs, with hitting struts? etc cheerz
digm8 a while back i wanted 20's for my vt, i pm'ed a bloke on here who has a VX calais with 20's and this is what he said to me: Hopefully this will answer all your question and some. You shouldn’t have any problems with 20’s on your car. I don’t have any issues with clearance with mine. You will have to get all the guards rolled so there is no scrubbing. You will also want to lower your car too; otherwise it will look like a 4wd. If you go with 20’s then your shocks may also need to be changed to allow clearance. For new springs and shocks it will set you back around $800. Since your car is a VT you will also need a camber kit to straighten out the wheels. Cost around $400. As for legalities, I recently got defected for bald tyres (stockies on the rear); I was told that you can only have 2” bigger than factory mags. Mine originally came with 16’s, so I can legally go to 18’s. Only got a warning. Personally you shouldn’t have much of a problem with them, cops wont bother you if you drive normally. It may also void your insurance. hope this helps mate
ohh n also goin to D&T exhuast 2mw, gonna book to get high flow cats and resi taken off with twin monaro tips, hows that sound guys? atm i got pace's 4 into 1's, normal cats, into a twin 2.5" catback
Unless your going to go cam route, hi flow cats are pointless, just ask them to open up the originals to 2.5 inch.
well i dnt know wot mods im doin in the future so mite aswell do it now since i got the money... the cats have alredi been opened up
if you dont have one already you might want to invest in a camber kit if going with bigger wheels and lowering otherwise your tyres will wear prematurely
In that case don't waste your money yet. Decent steels will cost you around $320 each. What you have now is fine for even a small cam. The money you save on it will get you your OTR setup
well i got my exhaust done again 2day, i didnt get the high flow cats, like minux said it'll go to my OTR setup later on.... wot i got dun 2day was new twin mild steel 2.5" pipes after the diff, into 2 3.5" monaro tips. tips lookin ***kn amazing and sound loud and awesome, very happy man 2day and also orderd my 20"s 2day shud be coming in about 2 weeks... they had to get from the states... so now i play the waitin game
