I used to get this all the time. I took my plates off and it stopped that day. Next thing I'm doing is getting rid of the spoiler and aking my mags off and putting stockies on it. Mostly nobs in V6's with SS badges, cannons or altezza lights

LOL, second gear wouldnt have done nothing anyway, though if they were booting it which it sounded like it, it didnt seem that quick. More sick duck sounds then grunt. My car doesnt look fast or anything, everything is stock besides small spoiler and 15" 5 spokes which were fitted when I bought the car, oh and cant forget the grandpa roof racks which are fitted caus the car is normally used for taking the Kayak places, not shopping. I hopefully get the VT back on the road tomorow so back to motorbikes trying to race me lol.

ill race you in my hektic ricer... just maybe on the track! even tho apart from my cooler my car looks stock as a rock we all hate those wankers, was it a R31 or R32 (boxy or first round one) R32 drivers are the worst with their fully shick RB20s... but no offence, commodore drivers are like this too! dosn't matter what car is it, its all about attitude of the driver...
lol The old boxey type, didnt look like anything special, paint job, chrome hubcaps etc. and I agree its not the car, but the attitude of the driver, it just so happens that these attitudes are most commonly found in skylines lol.

It`s culture its "cool" that`s why people do it, it gives them a high, unfoutunatly its now a very illegal high and the culture will evolve and change in the next 10-20 years, so twats will become very rare, take some peace in that.
i really dont think its limited to ricer's. i get so many V6 commodore drivers trying to race. if anything i would think i get more commodore drivers than i do ricers. and the truth is alot of the ricers could possibly be quicker. either way i dont bother, maybe make them think we are raceing by holding my revs up alittle and holding out gear changes.
meh i just tell them if they want to give me a run ill see them at the motorplex on a wednesday nyt... most of the shitbox ricers down there struggle on the strip anyway
lol my r31 5 speed wouldnt be able to pull away from a push bike rider let alone anything else so i dunno why alot of young guys wanna race them. . ive had hoons pull up and try and race me in **** vns and ea / el falcons but i just let it go let the heros have there day lol..
i dunno why theyd bother. your car sounds angry, even at idle! haha my car would stall and put its motor between its legs if i tried.

Yeah... i get idiots in everything from civic to skylines to v6 commodre (VN onwards) trying to me to race... me being in a 1.8L lillion year old BMW...lol My farorite thing to do if on a single lane road... is go a bit slower... till they are right up my arse... and then pop it into 2nd and drop the clutch... They don't seem to like that.. but mostly learn their lesson. Had a similar thing happen the other day with my gf driving the car... some wanker in a green vp v6 was sitting on our arse in a 50 zone... so turning onto bungower road we went extra slow... and braked suddenly to go into the officeowrks car park... Douchebag followed us in (I may or may not have egged him on to do so)... then when we pulled into a spot and I got out... he decided better of it and drive off around behind repco. So we went into officeworks, came back out and the douche was back... yelling abuse at me from 30 odd meters away in a runningcar... What a hero... If he had something to say to me... i was standing right there... telling him to spot being a pussy and come over for a chat... he declined and drove off in a cloud of single pegging POS smoke... I admit that my trick isn't the safest thing to do on the road... so i only do it when there is only couchebag and me on the road... but if they want to play... I'll play... just not the game they want...
