    just wondering if anyone here has gotten a monaro style bonnet from
    Newgel,Fibre sports,Savage fibreglass
    Just wondering of quality the bonnets from any of the listed sellers. im having the commodore spray painted next week so i need to find a bonnet before then.
    and they all seem to be around the same price

    I'm not 100% sure but I think fibreglass bonnets might be illegal, just in case it matters.

    but if you hit a pedestrian or need to claim insurance you might get done hard. not worth the risk unless for a pure drag/track car IMO. but if you have your heart set on it then go for it just know all the risks.

    Just be safe pal. If it doesnt work out you can always get a monaro styled hood scoop or just buy a genuine one.

    Only real worry is if you have a crash

    just doing a google search and it seems 92% of people had trouble with defects and insurance . so yeap mind is made up gonna save the cash and just buy a steel 1. only problem now is i need a bonnet before 21st of nov since mine has to be replaced (due to a kangaroo) and thats the only time i can have the car booked in :(

    fibre sports (i believe) are just steel bonnets with the scoop mounted (achieves nothing besides for looks) but they're not a bad mob to deal with.

    If we're talking about the guys over at Taren Point.

    I have a Savage fibreglass bonnet. The quality is awesome, its a very good product, you can see pix of it in my ride thread. If you want a legal fibreglass bonnet, you can get one from blits.com.au - they make ADR approved fibreglass bonnets.
