I am wondering has anyone fitted a series 2 grille on a series 1 bar. Now my cheap VE Anniversary which is late 2008 Series 1 is similar like the below https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VE-COMM...328081?hash=item42055574d1:g:CaUAAOSwBOxdNo~~
but I want to to replace it with something that has more chrome around the edges like this.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-...915502?hash=item26228540ee:g:SQsAAOSw-IldNt1b or this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOLDEN-...332702?hash=item3d8429bc1e:g:i8cAAOSwGDZbXCHz.

Now the top looks the same (radiator side)as you have two screws + 2 clips but the bottom where the grille pushes into the bumper bar does look different. My Original grill I had it off looking for the Air Con Filter Drier and has 4 lugs that pushs into the bumper bar but the later model VE of either Belina or other that has more chrome the bottom of the grille where it goes into the bar is different. No doubt this can be modified to fit but wonder has anyone done it.

Forgot this bit
Does the shape of the head lights change between series 1 and 2, can you think of another other issue " eg" the angle of the dangle or some will stop me doing this outside the bottom of the grille itself that does not match the bumper bar on the series 1.

That what I'm worried about because I can deal with the bottom of the grille being different but I cant do anything about if the Headlights are a different Angle and if this is the case the Grille will be at a different angle too.

The angles are the same. It should fit fine.
What about using a S1 Calais or Berlina chrome bonnet trim?

The series 2 just had that little kick up in the line of the bottom edge.
It's not like VY or VZ where there was a difference in the headlights, even though they looked similar.

Will look at what the Series 1 Calais look like .
Dont know what the Berlina Chrome bonnet trim is.
If I use series 2 Anything I will mod the bottom of the Grill to suite, even drill slot or holes and the bar itself.

I made a typo.
I should have said the angle is the same between Grille and the Bumper bar in series 1 and 2 not the Headlights as the headlights are not in the equation because the Headlights are away from the the grille itself
