Hey Guys, just wondering if there is a how-to on fitting bezels in the front bar. What is the best way to go about it? Taking the bumper off would make life easier yeah? Use a jigsaw or hacksaw? I want to get it right the first time lol. Cheers.
There is a few threads about it, use the search button. You will have to take the bumper off to do it, and do it slowly and be patient, its not somthing you want to stuff up. Cheapest place to buy them is through holden directly about $25 each bezel. Dont use a hacksaw or a jigsaw, use a rotary tool (Dremel).
i think wagon_wheel did a write up but im not to sure where its gone, when he had his old vr or s EDIT: and he appears
I did mine with a dremel and I reckon its really the only tool for the job. I also did it with the bumper still on the car but I say that if you want to get it spot on and save yourself a lot of frustration then just remove your bumper to do it, you'll be better off for it. The holes need to be cut very accurately for the bezel to sit all the way in nice and flush without seeing holes in the bumper around the bezel. To cut the holes, make yourself a stensil out of paper and flip it to do each side, makes the job easier.
I think i may have done a write up im not too sure. When you take you bar off, get some masking tape and mask up the area where they will go, and then just get a pen and draw on that as to where u need to cut, makes it much easier.
cheers guys. I'll have to get one of the dremel things...does sound like the go. So no glue needed right? Because there are clips I think on the back....?
if possible, go down to a wreckers and buy a busted up front bar for cheap and have a practice on that first. and yes there are tabs on the back of the bezel which you will need to make slots for in the bar and slip the clips on to the back so it holds it in place

Yeah Ridah I think i'll rather butcher my way through it lol cheers good idea though. I'll just take my time, measure once cut twice....lol.
