I want to put some fog lights on the VP Calais. For those of you in Sydney, you will know why after the past few days!

I was thinking of putting on a VN - VS front end, the one with the fog lights already installed. Or, do you think it wouldn't really be worth it, and i should just modify the Calais front bar to accomodate the lights?

Also how does it work from there - is there just a switch on the dash i can install? Has anybody done it before?

im lookin at puttin foggies on me VP calais too but ive got the holes for them already in the kit....u can either wire them to a switch or to the lights so they are on all the time or u can go get a VP SS fog light switch which goes where the a/c switch would be on a exec.... personally i would go for the SS switch as it looks more original....also it would be easier to mod ur front bar than go buy a vs one with the moldes for them but it would look better with the vs bar.... spend money on looks or not that is wat it all comes down to....

have you got a pic of the front end on yours?

And does anyone know what the price is to paint it? I'm not sure of the colour, but it looks similar to the Atlas Gray of the VN SS

ok first, before you just "wire them up" check that the wires can carry the load, then up the ampage of the fuse by around 5A to accomodate for the extra current needed so you dont pop fuses.....

modify your bumper, its not hard just rip it off, they'res 4 bolts on the front (headlights need to come off and so does grille)

as for wiring you may aswell run your own just make sure you fuse it..!!!

hahaha yeah the last onwer of my car musnt been a good reverser as my bak chrome strip is farked all peelin n scratchd but the front is in preety good nic...oh and i found a calais front the same as yours at a wreckers up ere but that wont help ya as it is up ere not in sydney and is the same.....on the holes there are sum plastic molds that go in the hole to make it smooth n flush, go to holden with a pic of it n u should be able to mod ur bar to fit the molds so it looks like a genuine bar (thats if they have em or sumthing close)
but yeah ive never seen a calais with the same bar as me....there are 4 in tweed that ive seen all exactly the same but none with the foggie holes...weird
