Okay-

When I bought my car it came with some type of chrome 19's which I'm not really fond of so I'm planning on changing it back to something Holden however they must be 19's, I was initially thinking something like VX GTS 19x8 but then the VY GTS 19x8 caught my eye and I prefer them. I was thinking of buying some however I'm worried about massive loss of traction on the rear. To my knowledge the biggest tyres that will fit on the rear would be 245's however I'm looking for something a bit wider. I saw the new VE R8 19x8/19x9.5's and they aren't as visually appealing to me however the rims are significantly wider on the rear, to my knowledge you can fit 275's on the rear which is more like what I'm looking for. The problem with this is that I'm not sure if I'll be able to fit 19x9.5's on the rear. I know obviously they aren't going to just fit straight on and that the rims are going to have to be machined (anyone know anywhere good in NSW that does this) and that they would probably hit my guards however I'm thinking if I did something like shorten the axel's or whatever you can do before having to tub the rear end... Would they fit?

PS. All suggestions welcome
