flashing mode light

I don't have ABS yea my air con works

This is what I found solved mine but it definitely is trying to tell you somthing.my well maintained 2000 vt beeped went crazy the mode light stayed flashing.I had 0 oil in my car and putting the a/c on,for longer than 20 minutes on,a hot Ozzie day I would of warped somthing.Stop have a look at all your fluids.my light went off after restarting the car but it was telling me oil u DH.just because the light stops flashing doesn't mean this was a ifixmyself model.That is what I found this light to be ,once I,fixed the problem it hasn't returned.It can be lots of things.

Its telling you your car is out of date!!! the reason will be your fob isn't getting good contact to the slip ring, give it a clean with Metho and maybe carefully bend it out a bit to make better contact.
