It’s probably been asked before but I haven’t got time to look for it so I wonder if anyone can help me. one out to start my car yesterday after a month or so sitting idle and battery dead flat. tried to jump start it no luck. so the battery went on charge overnight it’s fully charged now, but I’m just wondering what this thing in my hand is I don’t remember where it came from as when i pulled the battery out I didn’t see where it came from so I’m not sure where its supposed to go? will I have any issues when the batteries connected with codes etc? Thanks

Battery vent tube. Goes on the side of the battery closest to the taillight at the top. Then out through the floor, battery out to reinstall into floor from memory

Read this VE battery vent thread… Yes it’s VE and not VF which is same same but different :p

https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/battery-vent.277674/

Hint… I use google search (more a habit) with the following search string to limit it to JC forums ;)

Code:
“site: forums.justcommodores.com.au whatyoursearchingfor”

in this case I used “site: forums.justcommodores.com.au battery vent”

There are some good battery threads that detail removal , installation, best chargers (ctek), venting, battery types, best batteries, it goes on…. It is worth a search ;)
