Hi guys just need to jack my car up passenger side i have a floor jack was wondering if i can use the same position as the normal jack (which they recommend the side of the car) is that fine.

Hey Maria,

No, there are specific points for this... See pic below, as you can see the front is close to the so called chassis rail and the rear is on the rail.

haha.. what's so bad about a clean car??

nothing at all..

i wish i had a hoist though, it's hard to clean under a car on trolley jacks/stands...

or maybe i could dig a pit in my garage, the missus will never know...

that's show'n'shine stds underneath (cleanliness wise)

Where those front hoist arm pads are, you're better off more towards the centre on the rail as that plate can bend under the weight of the car.
