I know there's a dedicated video section, but I found this to be an eye opener! When I was growing up I remember being in a 5 point harness in the car when I was really little and then went to a "booster" seat... YouTube - Importance of a 5-Point Harness Carseat
OK - didn't know. I've been on JC for a couple of years and never seen it. Chances are the same goes for others too.
How sad... I hope the stupid old bitch that ran the red light is in jail. ****ing ****s me to no end how old people can cause so many accidents yet it is the younger generation in the spotlight. Sorry to go off topic
It was in the last couple of months, ill try and find it. Haha Yeah of course, we catter for everyones needs Mothers club members: Christie, Norti, and Yourself haha.
got no kids, but wow, didn't know seatbelts could fail like that, makes me wonder why 5 point racing harnesses are illegal in streeters
LOL I was thinking the same thing.... And what do yu know, I'm a member. Always good to post things like this twice anyways, keeps all the newbies updated
Mate that vid is harsh as... Im a father of 2 boys wouldnt know what to do if i lost one of em.. can only imagine their pain..!
Considered too complex for idiots to free themselves. Even though racing harnesses have a quick release to be used post crash, people would panic and end up trapped.
Im the same mate, brings tears to my eyes.My son has the same toy as that boy in one of the pictures. My youngest is in a 5 piont(nearly 2yrs old).I put him in double check it and kiss his forehead.Nothing better than kids.
not as tough as me, i hate all those above, and butterflys. now that is a hard arse. yeah, i always had skye in a booster seat, and she always had one of those little racing harneses for kiddies. can never be to safe. if anything happend to my little wonder, i would be beside myself.
Hey Guys I have seen this video elsewhere too and agree with the sentiment of the thread so far. The most silly thing about is that you can get a "Booster" seat with a 5 point harness. This enables a child up to 7 years old to be safely secured in the car at a cost of about $140. So expensive was the cost of the booster + harness, my wife and I pondered the purchase for all of 0 seconds, gladly accepting that our precious child would be far safer than using a seatbelt. All 3 of our kids will be in 5 point harnesses with a booster until 7 for the very reasons shown in the video. It is a pity that when you have kids, parents are not educated by anyone on this sort of thing, could save plenty of kid’s lives that way. It is simply wrong to have to bury your own children as a consequence of stupidity before they have had a chance to shine. Will be giving them a big hug when I get home tonight. 50LTRv8
