I just downloaded an awesome add on. I found some advertising was making my pc freeze at times (mainly american express for some reason) and it's really good, espec for those who have spelling issues, it comes with a spell checker! So thought I would play nice & share.... lol

Get it here -> IE7Pro - The Ultimate Add-On for Internet Explorer

Firefox is better than IE. My wife is only learning computers and she picked it up no worries.

Opera was great but now it's ****

I ditched it a few versions ago. No point going to back to it if firefox does everything I want.

Running firefox under linux and it's even better.

Firefox is no better than IE.
Firefox mail (thunderbird) doesnt even have a spam filter fcol.It will soon bug out with a Trojan too or an incompatability fault.

Opera is also pretty dodgey, it will soon bug out with a trojan.

I got IE 7 and have never had a problem.

I use avast and commodo firewall pro as security.

ccleaner every now and then, havnt had a virus in yrs.

The days of mozzilla and opera being good are over, it was only in those times when IE had vulnerabilities that trojan
    writers targeted.
Opera and FF where not popular enough to get targeted so they where seen as better.

windows has long since been fixing all the vulnerabilities.

It's not the security issues that I don't like about IE, it's the time it takes to load. All the add ons that come pre installed with it are not necessary. FF is small and quick. If you require an add on, install it, but it doesn't come bundled with all the unnecessary crap, and toolbars etc.

i hate IE. i tell IE to open on mine, it takes a few minutes before it even tries to open. firefox opens right away. IE7 is just taking ideas from other browsers now and looks ****. never going back.

Firefox 3 Performance Gets a Boost
Posted by ScuttleMonkey on Wednesday February 27, @06:28PM
    from the powers-of-ten dept.
    Mozilla
jason writes "Mozilla has been working hard at making Firefox 3 faster than its predecessor, and it looks like they might be succeeding. They've recently added some significant JavaScript performance improvements that beat out all of the competition, including Opera 9.5 Beta. And it comes out to be about ten times faster than Internet Explorer 7! Things are really starting to fall into place for Firefox 3 Beta 4 which should be available in the next week or two."
