i asked him if it were a Borg warner 28 spline. and he said. its called a 70 series borg warner, heaps of cars that era ran those diffs and still some new cars being built today!
http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/v6-development-modification/71234-diff-all-you-need-know.html Pull a axle out and count the teeth. BW 78's had a few different number splines I beleive. But some Falcons do have 28 spline BW 78's
yea, well its $150 and it was in my area, and since i dont really know anything i'd ask here first before going through.. so if its a 28 spline, its alright?
If it's a 28 spline centre, it will fit fine. The same VR - VS Commodore LSD centres were used in E series Falcons.
You can also use some chryslers and R31 skyline diffs. If you went skyline though i'd put your rear calipers on it the ratcheting handbrake system on them is a pos.
