I'm fairly certain something similar happened at a protest at Auckland Uni. and our previous National government bowed to the same country when they visited here on some diplomatic crap.

My grandson is one of those. (no, not offended by your post). He is Australian.
A lot of those with Chinese descent have Australian heritage that goes back further than Anglo-Saxon Australians.
It is the Chinese Chinese who smile while they are condescendingly fake pleasant towards you that I don't trust.

The Chinese came after anglo saxons to mine gold. Yes it was a very long time ago but I thought I would point that out.
They also were in the US many years ago and helped build the east to west rail there.
