I saw a VN V8 today with a Formula sticker across the boot garnish . . . what's different about the Formula VN that makes it special?

I've never come across one before - are they rare?

Just wondering . . .

about 4 years ago, a mate of mine bought one for his missus, but she didn't like it so he sold for $2,000 on her. I'm pretty sure they were similar to the SS weren't they? I'm not positive, but it was probably less optioned than the SS if it is what I'm thinking.

Thats what I was thinking, I don't think they were V8, I'm pretty sure the one my mate had was a V6.

Surely they had more than just an optional bodykit...
Why bother calling it a Formula, if all it had were a bodykit and nothing else at all??

Hmmm...I s'pose holden has done some weird things.....

There's one in my town, all dinged up. I think they are somthing like a S pack, just a V6 with a stripe and a spolier and maybe FE2 or so :)

The only Formula I know of is the HSV VP Formula. They made 67 of em. Were all V6's with a two tone paint job, Senator grill, Senator rear spoiler and 15x7 5 spoke rims.

Thats exactly like the one I've seen. Did they only come out in that one colour? I haven't seen it in any other...
