I used Pro Converters in Melb. He has three levels of converter, standard, stall converter, which i have and HD stall converter. You would need HD stall converter if getting one from the bloke i used. The pedals in the HD are furnace brazed plus some other HD parts that make it good for over 500hp.

They do freight, i had mine shipped to Launceston, as no one in Tas reco's converters AFAIK. I had mine fitted while the engine was out getting repairs. Hopefully the trans place can get you sorted. Do you have TC reconditioning in WA?

Yeah definitely want a shop to have a look as it may not be the problem and I would hate to waste $500 to find out it wasn’t the converter. Yeah we definitely have TV reconditioning in WA. There is a specialised place that just deals with them.

Yep, x2 i wouldn't take the advice from a forum as gospel with a problem like you have. A few bucks for a proper diagnosis is the safest bet. Stally are a fair bit more than 500 bucks around 800 for a HD. Then its 3 hrs to have it fitted.

Won't help you out in any way but in regards to a previous post I made, my converter is about 3k and like i said as i was told 3k is pretty much the lowest stall you would go, if wanting stally or might as well go standard. With 4.1s and 400hp you can go a decent amount higher than 3k as the 4.1s reduce the stall a fair bit in some way. But don't ask me to explain it, I'm only repeating what my TC builder told me.

Cheers mate. Yeah I’m expecting it to be about $1000-$1500 installed hopefully. I will definitely get their advice on what stall I should install.

The old girl must rocket off the start with 4.1s. I thought 3.7s were about the best ratio to have. I'm going 3.45 which will help the take off if i decide to get some porting done.
How does it drive on the street with a mini spool? I can't imagine it would be ideal. Decent LSD would make it more drivable, I would have thought.

With 4.11 ratio and mini spool you can pretty much floor it and put all the power to the ground with no wheel spin. She is so quick it’s not funny. I e only driven the car 3-4 times since I bought it 3 years ago. I work a lot so didn’t have much time to do the few upgrades I wanted to do. The only time the car is a pain in the arse is parking. Stall and mini spool make for a good spectacle.

Only time will tell what let go once its stripped down, I hope for your sake its something simple as a stuck valve in the valve body in first gear which is making your car creep forward. Good luck..
