Does anybody know what offset is required to get these to fit on a VP Calais and not scrub? I still have the rear spats.

I recently saw a VP Senator with these one, so it can be done.

Current wheels are 16x8 with 30p offset.

Simmons (email reply came from Tempe) told me that I can go up to 8.5 inch wide without rolled guards. I did ask about offset but they haven't replied to that.

I'll prob need to get the measuring tape out in conjunction with wheel calculators.

IRS or live rear axle?

HSV had 2 different offset wheels depending on the rear suspension type I believe

This is what I get when playing with the wheel calculators. The best offset and tyre size appears to be 30p and 225/35/19, respectively.

Is there something else I'm missing?

A 43p offset pulls the whole thing in 13 mm towards the suspension/frame.

8.5" you'll want 45-48p to squeeze them in. It's going to be tight. BCI make 9" steelies at 48p that require rolling for VB-VP. You've got 12 extra mm

I think you'll find fitting 225/35X19 will be underload rated....The rolling radius will be shy of the mark too....So be mindful of that too when you're checking out sizes

Is that suitable for IRS though?

If it's not frogged on its arse without a camber kit yes. I would be going a 245/30 on an 8.5" rear rim. You'll find it's the same diameter as your current setup. You can then measure your offset requirements based on the existing rim to allow for the added 6mm per side

Given how good the FR1 looks it's totally worth a roll if it needs one IMO
