hhhmmmm Wonder if this is a good deal? Or is there hidden scam-i-ness? I remember being offered a work skills voucher sometime ago to do a course of my choice, except ofcourse the courses I wanted to do so I guess it was actually my choice of the ones they chose? Now I find this offer..... Accredited Online Training - Work Skill Voucher Programme Im thinking I might just take up this course now??? lol
hmmmm take our free course and at the end you'll be a qualified secretary, computer helpdesk operator, or bank teller. up here we have a choice of either waiter or warehousing
My own mother is doing one of these accredited computer basics courses with a voucher through centerlink. She's 60 and hasn't a clue about computers (doesn't have much of a clue about anything really) and she's doing stuff on excel spreadsheets, word processing, and recently started MYOB software in the class. Funny thing is she has never used a computer in her life, doesn't own one, still can't work out how to open documents and she thinks she's going to get hired as a secretary when she's done the course? Not likely. I wonder what most employers think of these certificates from training courses. I wouldn't hire any secretary unless they had previous experience and work references to show.
I was going to put my parents up to this, free laptop how can you go wrong?? Just havn't yet, has anyone actually seen the laptop you get?
Well I found it over at Whirlpool, & seems a few of them already have one, & few more 'on the list' So I figure, cant hurt, Ill apply!! Im under no delusions I can walk into the jobs they state on there, in fact I have a funny feeling I could RPL pretty much the whole course..... lol
Looks good but I'm not eligible. I'm spewin, would have been an easy way to get a free laptop. To meet the entry requirements you must: * be an Australian citizen or permanent resident * be aged 25 years or over * not hold a year 12 or equivalent qualification * Do not hold a Certificate II qualification or higher I'm 23 I completed year 12 Cert III in Electrotechnology
I'd jump into one of those courses in a heartbeat, but I'm one of those people who can't sit in a stuffy office for 5 minutes, let alone a whole day
