I took over a month to decide what wheels I wanted.

I ended up settling on bboss eleanors.

Chasers are cheap and nasty. Leave it to the exec boys!!! As for whitewalls the only cars they belong on are old school cars. Especially considering most people go flappers which are illegal.

Oh crap, sorry Froggz. Probably about the same price without labour as he normally makes up for the postage price.
Looking good and yes SSV's would be nice, no chasers not good enough for a Calais
And not sure if Dak is serious but that page is lolz I am guessing he just wanted to put it up there

It was on the ebay lolz thread I think.. yeah I am pretty sure he doesnt plan on selling just the wheels lmao, pretty sure they wont fit a commie, and pretty sure you wont be importing them from NZ anyway.. but I do love the wheels..

Dont even think about chasers unless you are putting hubcaps on it and a blower.. sleepers can be cool, but chasers on a calais are just wrong.

I'm old school, I miss the days when chrome deep dish 12 slotters with hubcaps were all the rage. Nothing looked better IMO, but modern cars offset is all wrong for deep dish, and they were 14s in those days, not sure if they would look as good in 18s anyway.

I also had a set of centrelines on my WB Sandman, they were quite similar to the flat dish fairlane mags from mid 90s, but again, they looked a lot better because of the deep dish. I think modern wheels need to be very open, showing lots of brakes etc, or they just dont look right. That said, my wheel of choice for your car would be these...

Yes Dakster, you are amazing I totally forgot about Doritos :)
So it's between Doritos or ssv's.

And yeah your all right about the chaser idea.

After I get the engine all sorted then the brakes will be getting done and then wheels.

    Time to upgrade profile picture!

And MOAR PICS! My girlfriend loves this car! Makes me think about buying one! And that's better for my back pocket as its more money for a house and Project 2J.

Still can't believe it was a straight swap!

Gotta love the Clubby Doritos + I completely agree with what you said, they definitely don't suit more modern cars. Also inb4 Demonica complaining that Doritos are ugly as ^%&
And yeah Ebay Lolz thread pretty funny original page haha

Edit; Damn I hate it when you don't realise the page changes. Imo Doritos suit the Clubby (i.e bodykit) but SSV's will go nice with the subtle look on a calais

    I think I'm still set on ssv's :D

Spotted a VR Calais at the wreckers today, exact same colour as this. The wrecker's owner and I are pretty good mates, so he offered $500 for it. Needs about 3K work to get RWC though. I was more interested about the written off white VZ Clubsport! $50 bucks he said!
